Welcome from the Chair of Trustees
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in becoming our new CEO.
Rise is a family of twenty-six church and community primary schools. A Church of England multi-academy trust, we are responsible for educating about 4,000 children. Our schools are in Leicester, Leicestershire and the south of Derbyshire. We work with and for each other.
The board and leadership team have high aspirations. Aspirations for our schools, our staff, our communities but especially our pupils. We are committed to bringing our vision — 'To Flourish and Succeed'—to life."
Our trust has seen rapid growth in recent years. With growth has come change. Changed structures and processes to take advantage of our scale. Looking ahead, our new CEO will lead us as we mature our new organisation and seek further growth. They will of course always focus on our core calling to serve the pupils in our schools.
We have recently updated our strategic plan. Our new priorities aim to make the most impact on our pupils, staff, and communities. We want to live out the inspiration from Isaiah to "soar on wings like eagles". The strategy stays true to our vision of enabling all to flourish and succeed. It also lives out the Church of England’s vision of educating for the ‘common good of the whole community’. As you get to know us, we expect your strengths and personality to flavour the life of our trust. In turn, this will develop and refine our strategic plan still further.
We are looking for an outstanding strategic leader of education who will embrace the trust’s vision, values, and ethos and will inspire and empower our team. You will have excellent relational skills and be comfortable directing the trust team, negotiating with DfE and Diocesan colleagues, working with leaders from other schools and trusts, and of course talking with children in the playgrounds of our schools!
